Excellent review with Dr. Westra. There was a through discussion with Dr. Westra about my symptoms prior to a through examination. This was followed be a large screen display of two MRIs of my spine accompanied by a complete discussion of the MRI.

Dr Westra has done 3 surgeries on me starting back to 2014. The doctor and his staff are the best at what they do and my experience has always been better for me mentally and most definitely physically.

Dr Westra spent the necessary time with explaining everything in terms that I could understand. I will be anxious to get the x-rays done that he is going to order and then go from there with him helping me to getting me back on the road to getting better.

Dr. Westra is an excellent surgeon. He is very conscientious and explains the procedures that he plans to do very well. He answers all questions. He is very thorough during the follow ups and discusses any additional care that is needed.
I would recommend him to anyone who is considering back surgeries.

The office is quite helpful and professional. Dr. Westra is very knowledgeable and is able to explain the complexities of the surgery in an understandable manner. He is also personable and makes his patients feel at ease and comfortable.

Dr. Westra is thorough in diagnosing & his computer imaging is helpful to visualize on his large wall screen. He speaks so rapidly it was difficult to digest all his anatomical terminology. As an RN for 40 years, expressing empathy..is so vital to a patient experiencing pain- one sentence would have been appreciated, & offering hope for pain relief, since surgery was not an option

Dr.Westra is amazing. He did my lower lumbar fusion surgery, and he acknowledges everything I’m feeling and lets me know whatever I’m feeling is valid. He takes the time to explain things in ways I would understand. I highly recommend him and also friendly office staff

Very thorough explanation on the condition of back and how everything works in relationship to my injury .
It was very comforting that he wasn’t pushing for surgery , which of course is the most profitable option for the Dr.s practice.
And everyone that I spoke to as I did my research, had wonderful experience with him as well .
